When and where are the Town Board meetings held?
Town Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at the Town Hall at 6:30 PM. In the event that the first Monday falls on a legal holiday, the regular meeting for that month shall be held on the first Tuesday of said month or as set by the Board of Commissioners. Town citizens are encouraged to attend these meetings to keep informed of town issues and to provide their own input.
How do I get my water turned on?
In order to get water and sewer service, you must
complete an Application for Water Service. You can
obtain one from the Town Hall or by clicking on the
"Online Forms" section of this website.
How much is the utility deposit?
Each new service requires a $100.00 security deposit for property owners and $200.00 for renters and a $10.00 connection fee.
Will I receive my deposit back after my final utility bill?
Deposits are refunded upon full payment of final
bill. After notification, accounts closed will have a final
bill calculated and deducted from the deposit and
mailed to a forwarding address or last known address
(allow 2 weeks).
If I am relocating within the town limits is there an additional service fee or deposit?
Customers relocating within the town limits are
required to pay a $10.00 service fee, but may transfer
their previous deposit if there is no outstanding balance
due on the original account. Any outstanding balance
due on the original account must be paid prior to
the initiation of any new service.
What is the due date for water bills?
The due date is the 15th of every month. If payment is
made after the 15th of the month, a 10% late charge
will be assessed to the unpaid balance. The disconnect
date is the last day of the month.
If my water service is discontinued due to an unpaid bill, is there a reconnection fee required?
Yes. In the event that water service is discontinued for
non-payment, there will be a $25.00 reconnect fee, in
addition to the old and new bill being paid in full before service can be continued.
What is the Town's policy concerning returned checks?
Customers are notified of returned checks and have
five (5) working days from notification to pay in full.
A $25.00 service charge also applies for each returned
item. Water service will be discontinued for check(s)
not paid within the five (5) day period. If this occurs,
there will also be a $10.00 service fee. Only cash or a
money order will be accepted as a payment for a
returned check.
What is the schedule for trash and recyclable pickup?
Residential trash and recyclables are collected once a week on Wednesday. Trash and recyclables should be placed curbside on Tuesday night. Upon termination of service, recycle bins not returned will constitue a $25.00 charge.
What is the sanitation rate in Beulaville?
The residential rate is $15.00 per month inside town and $16.00 outside town. Business collection and rates will vary. Meadow Crossing andOxford Plance recycle rate is $5.00 per month.
If I am planning on constructing a new building or making an addition or alteration to an existing building in the Town, what am I required to do?
You must obtain and complete a Zoning Permit Application which is available at the Town Hall or in the "Online Forms" section of this website. Once completed, the form should be returned or mailed to the Town Hall for review. You are also required to submit plot plans of the proposed project along with the application for Town approval.
